Melanie Anderson, a native Rhode Island resident, received her BFA from Syracuse University in 1985. Her career started in graphic design. 15 years in, Melanie left to go to the Cambridge School of Culinary Arts & became a Private Chef. During this time, she also created colorful textiles for her own line of outerwear & accessories. Still, painting was something she did off & on until one day a few years ago, it became obvious to put her whole self into exploring her passion for color - in painting! She believes everything she has done has led her to this point.
